‘8 Mile’ Doesn’t Prove Eminem Is A Good Actor

Rene Rodriguez of the Miami Herald reviewed Eminem’s debut film ‘8 Mile’ giving it 3 out of 4 stars. Rodriguez said, “‘8 Mile’ doesn’t prove that Eminem is a good actor, but it does show that he has a rare kind of charisma that manages to be sullen and puppy-dog vulnerable at the same time. If the singer acquits himself better than most other contemporary pop stars who have taken a stab at movies, it’s because all that the character of Rabbit requires him to do is reprise the same persona that he’s already had plenty of practice perfecting: the glowering, misunderstood street poet.” The full review at miami.com has since been removed.
