95% Of ‘Lord Willin” Is Autobiographical

Nathan Brackett of Rolling Stone magazine spoke with Malice of The , where he revealed following their being signed by Elektra in 1999 and dropped shortly afterwards, he and Pusha T entered a dark period of drugs use, reflected in their new album ‘Lord Willin”. “Ninety-five percent of that is autobiographical. A lot of it was written right after the Elektra deal. We were introduced to some quick money, and then we let it go. You’re exposed to something, and now you need money to keep it up.”
