Johnny 5 of the Flobots voiced his support for Occupy Denver in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street as the state’s governor threatened arrest. Footage of group founder Jamie Laurie at the event, where he’s seen leading the movement’s bizarre human echo method, has been posted online.

“I have been inspired by Occupy Denver,” Johnny 5 said to the repeating crowd. “I have not been present very much, so I speak with that knowledge that I don’t come with a full knowledge of the conversations here. In 1999 I was arrested and in jail for four days in Seattle in the protests in Seattle. I want to emphasize that getting arrested is not the same as violence. But, getting arrested is serious. So if you’re planning on risking arrest, I recommend to be prepared.”

Redman On Doing Another Meth Album & If He’s In The Wu

Redman took part in an Ask:Reply interview with Vevo, where questions were submitted by Twitter users. The rapper was asked about the worst experience of his life, whether he considers making a record or making a movie more fun, when he’s going to do another album with Method Man, if he’s an official member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and if he’s willing to have a smoke session with a question submitter. “You know what, it’s something you’re gonna have to ask Meth,” Red said to the Wu question. “Meth affiliated me in, said I was the 11th member. Meth been a part of my crew, Def Squad, since 2000-2001. I feel I’ve been a part of Wu before, before 2000. I’ve been supporting the Wu since day one.” Watch the Q&A session below.

Nick Huff spoke with Chamillionaire to talk with the Houston rapper about the state of hip hop, his thoughts on Drake, collaborating with Asher Roth, his last album ‘Ultimate Victory’, keeping fans and his label happy, and Bill O’Reilly. On ‘The Factor’ host, Chamillionaire said, “I don’t get him, man, but I think there’s a method to his madness and the crazy stuff that he says on Fox News, they always say a lot of crazy stuff… But at that time [when 'Hip Hop Police/Evening News' came out], I felt it was only right, man. The timing for someone to come up and speak on a lot of that crazy stuff that was going on. And now we on to something different. Everyone knows the economy is messed up and instead of beating it in people’s heads and making them feel sad, I think it’s time to uplift and make people feel a little bit better about their situations.”

LL Cool J Talks About Joe Budden & Method Man Beef

LL Cool J spoke with Global Grind about the Joe Budden and Method Man beef, and how when he was coming up it was like a fraternity and that the art form really mattered. “So the battles took on a different significance because of that, because it really was about reputation and it really was about being real and it really was about defending your psychological territory,” LL explained. “That little piece of the mental mindshare, or marketshare you have around the neighborhood.
