Petey Pablo checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (January 5), revealing plans to finally follow-up his 2004 sophomore album ‘Still Writing in My Diary: 2nd Entry’. The North Carolina rapper tells readers:

Wzup everybody it’s your boy Petey P just sayin wzup to everybody comin through. I know it’s been awhile but the wait is over I have a new record company called “CMG” and will be up and moving forward starting March of 09 so stay tuned playa’s and playett’s gone…

On TV: Mase, De La Soul, Petey Pablo

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Petey Pablo ordered six bottles of Cristal, 15 bottles of Moet, and two bottles of Patron tequila at the Vegashotspots.com after-party Saturday at the House of Blues following the Antonio Tarver-Roy Jones title fight.

Petey sticks to pretty much the same formula as he did on the first album, but with an even longer list of the industries most well known producers. The State reports North Carolina native Petey Pablo was in Columbia on Thursday to film the video for his latest single, ‘Freek-A-Leek.’ The footage from the 18 hours of shooting will air mid-January. Pablo had the girls, and a cameo appearance by pal Bubba Sparxxx, but he chose to stay off the sandy beaches and keep his video “real.” The self-proclaimed ‘Carolina Representa’ wanted to stay close to home. “I am the Carolinas, North and South,” he said. “This is about family, and I have an obligation to two states.”

Petey Pablo spoke with Sonicnet about filming his upcoming role in ‘Drumline’ after shooting wrapped up in Atlanta. Pablo said of the comedy, “It was easy. I just basically woke up one day and they’re telling me that I’m going to be in a movie. I’ve been really blessed, man. All the stuff that I’m doing and that has been done for me has basically come overnight.”

Rapper Petey Pablo debuted his ‘Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry’ album at #13 in this week’s Billboard charts selling 103,379 copies. Other notable rap artists in the top 10 included DMX’s The Great Depression at six and Ja Rule’s Pain Is Love in the 10 spot. Britney Spears was in the top spot for the week.
