Another Shooting Diminishes Detroit And Music World
The Detroit Free Press weighed in on the death of Proof in an editorial published Wednesday (April 12). They write, “As an artist and a man, Proof was a good ambassador for Detroit, a likeable slice of the city’s storied heritage of talent, energy and creativity. But his death — senseless, violent and untimely — showed a flip side of Motown that Detroiters have seen too much of lately.” Freep.com has since removed the article.
