‘Barbershop’ Filmmakers Say No Disrespect Meant

Reuters reports the filmmakers behind ‘Barbershop’ on Tuesday said they meant no disrespect to U.S. civil rights leaders with jokes made about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. — two icons of the fight against segregation. “We by no means meant to disrespect those we give the utmost respect. We never meant to offend anyone, especially the civil rights leaders,” the filmmakers said in a statement.
