Being Real Gives Nas Longevity In Hip Hop

Michael Roberts of the Dallas Observer spoke with Nas on how he fits in with the state of hip hop today. “It frustrates me when people miss the whole point of what I’m doing and what I’ve been doing,” he said. “Nobody’s real, but I’m real. That’s what gives me longevity, and that’s what a lot of the hip-hop media doesn’t understand about me. I’m not into all of that other sh**. I’m into what’s real.”
