Between The Lines Of Beanie Sigel’s Rap Sheet

Dan DeLuca and Alfred Lubrano of the Philadelphia Inquirer profiled Beanie Segal as the local rapper prepares to battle for his freedom after being accused of attempted murder and a separate federal firearms charge. “He is no stranger to law enforcement,” Philadelphia Police Lt. Michael Chitwood of Southwest Detectives said. “He’s always straddled the line between good and evil.” He later added, “People who know Sigel are scared to death of him, yet people idolize [him]. God gives you tremendous talent, and he gives you problems, then tells you to work it out – the wonderful things and the dark side. In the end, it’s up to you.”
