Nadra Kareem of the El Paso Times previewed Big Daddy Kane’s show at Club Vallare. Pooh One, a DJ for Power 102 said, “He was what everybody is now, what everybody talks about now. He already had that bling-bling persona, the flashy cars, the chains, the money. He already did that in the ’80s.” Eastsider Victor Alston added, “I think the hip-hop community needs to know who he is because he’s opened a lot of doors for a lot of rappers today.”
