Black Eyed Peas, Darkness Lead U.K. Charts

Billboard.com reports that The Black Eyed Peas and the Darkness held steady at the top of the new U.K. singles and album charts, unveiled Sept. 14. The Peas’ “Where Is the Love” (A&M/Mercury) held off new singles from heavy hitters Dido, Gareth Gates and Christina Aguilera, while the Darkness withstood the challenge of a rock powerhouse of earlier vintage, Iron Maiden.
