Busta Rhymes Doesn’t Strive To Make Mainstream Rap
AllHipHop.com caught up with Busta Rhymes and asked the veteran rapper how he feels he can keep the connection with street and pop audiences. “I don’t never compromise the basis of what I think is the right record,” Busta said. “First , I don’t never make a song for the intent of doing some mainstream sh**. I make a record that ultimately feels right and sonically is some sh** that everybody going to love or as many niggas as I can make love it, love it. It’ll always work in the street and in the club and it’ll also be embraced by mainstream America, because a lot of the sh*t I’m going to give niggas is feel good energy even if it’s some street sh**.”
