Nathaniel Friedman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reviewed the Powerhouse 2002 concert at the First Union Center on Friday which wound up getting nasty when Cam’ron’s crew went into the crowd to rough up some hecklers. “After Cam’ron’s ambivalent attempt to defuse the situation failed, he and those remaining on the stage jumped into the fray, and the floor erupted in a swirling free-for-all amplified by the microphones,” Friedman said. “It took most of the security force, an impassioned plea from Power 99’s deejays, and the playing of an uplifting dance-hall mix to clear the air and the floor. By that time, though, the energy of urgent, chaotic activity had taken hold.”
