Peter Relic of the Cleveland Free Times wonders if hip-hop stars can grow old without fading. Relic writes, “From the perspective of an aging hip-hop fan, it’s good to see the vets still kicking it, especially in an era when the bar on mike control is set absurdly low. From Puffy to Nelly, rappers on the radio today are operating on a skill level so dire they would’ve been laughed out of the game in its ’80s heyday. But there’s no denying that that heyday is long gone.”
