Bow Wow checked in with his Twitter followers (@BowWow) on Saturday (May 21), fuming about being snubbed by the BET Awards despite the success of his movies ‘Lottery Ticket’ and ‘Madea’s Big Happy Family’. The 24-year-old writes:

Guess 2 hit movies in the past year in a half and all my movies coming on tv err day aint enough to get nominated best actor at BET Awards.

The 2 biggest urban Movie comedy’s of the past year and half i starred in. I’ll just use this as fuel to motivate me and make me go harder.

Black Eyed Peas Win Favorite Music Group At KCAs

The Black Eyed Peas took home a blimp for Favorite Music Group over the weekend at the 2011 Kids Choice Awards after opening the show with a medley of their current single ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘The Time (Dirty Bit)’. Footage of Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap accepting the award for the second year in a row and chatting with Nick host Jeff Sutphen about the crazy energy in the room at MTV.com has since been removed.

B.o.B Red Carpet Interview At The 53rd Grammy Awards

Chris Harrison of TV Guide Network interviewed B.o.B on the red carpet for Sunday night’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The rapper talked about how he’s performing with Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae, what it’s like to perform for President Obama and how it compared to performing in front of Jay-Z, and plans to work with Paramore if he won a Grammy. The interview video at YouTube has since been removed.

Eminem Honors Dr. Dre With ASCAP Founders Award

Dr. Dre and Eminem were on hand for the the 23rd Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Friday (June 25) at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Dre was honored by his protege at the event, presenting the N.W.A. rapper and producer with the Founders Award for his contributions to music.

“It would have been a lot easier for Dre to dismiss me like most people did,” Eminem said before giving Dre the award. “But he didn’t. He stepped up to the challenge because he saw something in me. He changed the face of music and he changed my life.” Humbly accepting the award, Dre told the audience, “I’m living an incredible life. Making a living doing what I love and having people love it. I can’t even explain what that feels like.”

Flo Rida To Open The 2009 AVN Adult Movie Awards

Flo Rida will be performing at the 2009 AVN Adult Movie Awards on January 10, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The Grammy-nominated artist will open the show, co-hosted by Belladonna and Jenna Haze, which is now in its 26th year.

“We’re extremely pleased that Flo Rida will be performing at this year’s show,” said Paul Fishbein, president of AVN Publications. “Since we started the Awards in 1983, the goal has been to make it as exciting and entertaining as any of the mainstream Hollywood awards shows; I think with adding a performance by Flo Rida to the mix you can see that we’re making good on our vision.” Check out details at avnawards.com.

Kanye West Wins First Two AMAs

Kanye West won the first two American Music Awards of his career on Sunday night in Los Angeles, but the rapper said afterwards he would give one of them away to fellow nominee, Lil Wayne. “If it was last year, this would have been my award,” he said of the favorite male rap/hip-hop category. “This year, it’s Wayne’s award. Three 6 Mafia hit the stage and made history as the first rap group to ever perform during the Academy Awards, and furthered that history by winning the Oscar for best original song with their ‘Hustle & Flow’ hit ‘It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp’. Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’, from the 2002 movie ‘8 Mile’, won the best song statuette the following year, but the rapper declined to perform at the ceremony.

Outkast Wins Billboard’s Group Artist Of 2004 Award

Outkast took home the Group Artist of 2004 award at last night’s Billboard Awards in Las Vegas. They also nabbed Hot 100 Duo/Group, Billboard 200 Duo/Group, R&B/Hip-Hop Duo/Group, and for the second year in a row, digital track of the year for ‘Hey Ya’, for a total of five Billboard awards. Big Boi said upon accepting the honors: “First and foremost, I want to thank Billboard for having us all here tonight. Just want to say, this is for my boys who are in London working on the movie. This one here goes to all the fans who supported us and supported our music. Yeah.”
