The New York Post reports Diplomat crew member Freaky Zeeky will be charged with will be charged with criminal possession of a weapon. The rapper is in stable condition after a shooting in midtown Manhattan Friday morning (April 25). Zeeky was shot in the chest and abdomen and an associate, Eric Mangrum, 28, was shot in the chest and shoulder.
Associated Press reports authorities in Los Angeles have arrested an executive with Murder Inc. on federal firearms charges. The executive, Dexter Ottley, was taken into custody Thursday based on authorities finding a .25-calibre gun found on his desk during a search of the record label offices in Manhattan in January.
Antron Singleton, a rapper who goes by the stage name “Big Lurch”, faces murder and torture charges after police found him staggering naked and covered in blood on a southeast Los Angeles street on April 10, 2002. Now, in a wrongful death lawsuit filed just before the close of business on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the victim’s mother, Carolyn Stinson, claimed that Singleton’s record label had provided him with drugs “to encourage (him) to act out in an extreme violent manner so as to make him more marketable as a ‘gansta rap’ artist.” Read more at BBC.co.uk.
Billboard.com reports a 28-year-old North Carolina man is accused of diverting mail intended for rapper Ricky ‘Slick Rick’ Walters and trying to cash his royalty checks. Steven Burke Glenn was arrested April 3rd and charged with three counts of forgery, two of obtaining property under false pretenses, and one of identity theft, Raleigh police Sgt. Chuck Hurst said. The New York Daily News reports Damon Dash was arrested in New York yesterday for taking his son out of state. Dash had allegedly gone to California with his 11-year-old, Damon Jr., of whom he has full custody. Linda Williams, the child’s mother, claims the trip violated her visitation rights. “I can’t comment on the facts of the case,” Williams’ lawyer Suzanne Bracker said. “But when the judge hears them, I think he or she will see Linda has excellent grounds for change of custody.”
Associated Press reports Fabolous has been arrested again after police found a gun in the vehicle in which he was riding. The rapper was arraigned on charges of criminal possession of a weapon Monday. Bail was set at $2,500. Fab’s lawyer, Albert Ebanks, said Monday that the pistol belonged to a bodyguard hired by Fabolous’s record company to protect him as he performed.
The Associated Press reports Trick Daddy is facing assault charges after witnesses told police he brandished a gun and threatened to kill a man during a dispute following a basketball game.

WLBT reports if fans bought tickets to Saturday’s ‘Trick Daddy’ concert in Canton, they may have gotten tricked. Jackson police say they have arrested the ‘Thug Holiday’ concert promoter John Moore, and charged him with numerous counts of check fraud. Moore had sent more than $100,000 in bad checks to rap artists Trick Daddy and Petey Pablo.
AllHipHop.com reports Juvenile and three other men were arrested in New Orleans earlier today. The four were booked on drug possession charges, after cocaine and marijuana were found in the rental car they were traveling in. Each faces a charge of possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine.
