Houston Chronicle reports rap musician Carlos Coy, charged with seven counts of sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, was denied bail Monday by a judge who said evidence presented at a hearing “substantially shows guilt.”
Three 6 Mafia rapper Project Pat faces up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine following his conviction on weapons charges last week in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tennessee, reports Rollingstone.com.
The Houston Chronicle reports Rap star Carlos Coy, known professionally as South Park Mexican, free on bond on two charges of sexually abusing young girls, has been arrested on three counts of sexual assault of two 14-year-old girls. Coy’s attorney, Chip Lewis, denied the charges, “All of these, we will prove they are untrue.”
New Orleans gangsta rapper Corey Miller, better known as C-Murder, the younger brother of music artist Master P, was booked Friday with second-degree murder in the shooting death of an Avondale teen in a Harvey nightclub. He’s accused of shooting Steve Thomas, 16, after the two got into an argument in the club. C-Murder reportedly killed the teen with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The rapper is currently being held on $1 million bail.
Andre R. Locke, an American rap artist who goes by the name Lil Buddy, has been charged with bank robbery stemming from an incident in Rosemount, Minnesota, where he allegedly was wearing a ski mask and carrying a handgun and demanding money from the tellers. Locke’s younger sister, Nicole Gray, said: “In order for him to do something like this, he had to have hit rock bottom.”
Junior M.A.F.I.A. rapper Larceny (Antoine Spain) was sentenced to one year in prison on Tuesday in Manhattan Criminal Court after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. The charge stemmed from Larceny and Lil’ Cease being initially arrested on March 18 while driving a 1999 Jaguar owned by Lil’ Kim.
Snoop Dogg was and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Wednesday after his two tour busses were pulled over for speeding on Interstate 90 in Amherst, Ohio. The misdemeanor charge of possession only carries a maximum penalty of a $100 fine, while of drug paraphernalia carries a $250 one plus 30 days in jail. Not bad considering Snoop was carrying 200 grams of dope on the bus.
Snoop Dogg and Ja Rule were charged with using indecent language during performances in Montego Bay in Jamaica for the recent Sumfest music festival.
Since both have returned to the US, summons will be served to their agents in Jamaica.
Snoop Dogg and Ja Rule will be asked to appear in a magistrate’s court in on September 27 to face the profanity charges.
