On July 26th, The Knux brought their signature swag and their pal Kid Cudi to New York City’s West Village to shoot the music video for their new single ‘Run’. Members Joey and Krispy made sure the set was popping with a cool opulence and plenty of beautiful women. Once the video is released, fans will have the opportunity to live vicariously through the duo who literally have models running after them. The ‘Run’ video will be released soon and the single, featuring Kid Cudi, is available now on iTunes via Interscope Records.
Soulja Boy celebrated his 21st birthday in style on Friday (July 29) at Club Play South Beach. Guests such as Sean Kingston, Trina, Trae The Truth, Just Blaze, Gunplay, Torch, DJ E-Feezy, Pinky, Cubana Lust, Myko and more came out to attend his birthday, which took place the prior day.

Earlier this week, Atlantic/Duct Tape Entertainment rapper Alley Boy hosted a blogger/DJ meet and greet at Engine Room Audio in New York City to celebrate the release date of his new mixtape ‘The Definition of F**k Sh** Pt. 2’. Pitbull did a live set and interview on Walmart Soundcheck. The rapper performed ‘Shut It Down’, ‘Hey Baby (Drop It On The Floor)’, ‘Give Me Everything’, ‘Bon Bon’ and ‘Hotel Room Service’.
During the interview with the retailer, Pitbull talked about collaborations. “On collaborations. There’s a plan there’s always a plan. Does it always plan out? Definitely not,” the Miami rapper explained. “You go in with a goal. You move a certain way. You move in the right direction, but as the project grows, the songs mutate and they take on a life of their own, and sometimes some artists see it, some artists don’t.”

Diggy Simmons is out with behind the scenes footage and photographs from his ‘Copy, Paste’ music video shoot. ‘Copy, Paste’ is the first single from the rapper’s debut album on Atlantic Records. “The favorite part of the process I guess is just working hard,” the 16-year-old said in the video clip. “I love when I have a full plate of things to do, like I’m doing a ton of stuff and I love it. Rapper and producer, O’Mega Red formulated a track entitled ‘Angel’ at Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood, California with his aunt, five-time Grammy award winning songstress, Donna Summer.
“This was not only a historical musical union, but a family reunion, said O’Mega Red, rapper, CEO and record producer of The Stay Grindin’ Music Group. I have worked on projects with my aunt previously, but this one will be something special merging both of our audiences together.”

With Atlantic Records and Violator Management putting in overtime work with the 16-year-old Simmons, ‘Copy, Paste’ was shared with party attendees at Diggy’s 16th Birthday Party and now with the world.
The release of ‘Copy, Paste’ comes soon after the recent announcement of Daniel being a nominee for the 2011 BET Awards, in the Young Star category. Diggy Simmons is joined with Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Keke Palmer and Shenell Edmonds. The 2011 BET Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 26th in Los Angeles at 8pm EST/7pm CST. The live televised show will be held at the historic Shrine Auditorium.
