Dr. Dre and Eminem were on hand for the the 23rd Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Friday (June 25) at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Dre was honored by his protege at the event, presenting the N.W.A. rapper and producer with the Founders Award for his contributions to music.
“It would have been a lot easier for Dre to dismiss me like most people did,” Eminem said before giving Dre the award. “But he didn’t. He stepped up to the challenge because he saw something in me. He changed the face of music and he changed my life.” Humbly accepting the award, Dre told the audience, “I’m living an incredible life. Making a living doing what I love and having people love it. I can’t even explain what that feels like.”

will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas checked in with his Twitter followers (@iamwill) on Friday (June 11) while in South Africa for the FIFA World Cup 2010 Opening Ceremony performance with the Black Eyed Peas. Will was able to snap pictures with other stars in town for the show, including Alicia Keys and John Legend. He writes:

Xzibit, DJ Fingaz and friends celebrated the release of his new single and music video ‘Phenom’ at Bar Delux in Hollywood the other night. ‘Phenom is the lead single off Xzibit’s seventh studio album ‘MMX’, out later this year on his Open Bar Entertainment label.

Khia recently shot the video for her new single ‘Been A Bad Girl’, the first from her upcoming fourth CD, the 2-CD set, ‘Khia Shamone/Motor Mouf’, due in the Spring. The video was directed by Clifton Bell and was shot in Brooklyn, New York. Khia was joined at the shoot by reality television personality turned singer Carmine Gotti, who made a cameo in it.
Fabolous was photographed preparing for a departing flight out of Los Angeles International airport (LAX) on February 2nd. When at the ticket counter, the star bent over giving the photographers a glimpse of his underwear. Later, he flipped the paparazzi the middle finger.
