Rhymefest has a unique career in the sense that he’s achieved much success before most fans have even heard his name. The former substitute teacher from the Southside of Chicago has — in the past — defeated a then unknown white lyricist named Eminem and has recently helped pen one of the most successful and inspiring singles of 2003 — “Jesus Walks,” for which he was awarded a Grammy.
