Clubber Gets Opera Rap

St. Petersburg Times reports that after club promoter Michael Carreras blasted music by 50 Cent from his Jaguar at 5am, he was cited and recently convicted of playing music too loud in his car, ordered to listen to opera music. Judge Jeffrey Swartz said: “You impose your music on me and I’m going to impose my music on you” — and made him listen to La Traviata for 2½ hours. Police in Miami, Florida, can prosecute if they can hear a car stereo from 100ft away. Read more.
