Radio 1 examined the illegal, underground, alternative music industry of mix tapes. A culture that spawned the likes of 50 Cent, Cam’ron and DMX and is fast making its way to the UK with big name labels falling over themselves to get in on the act. Audio at bbc.co.uk/radio1 has since been removed.
