Dizzee Rascal’s Flow Is A Torrent On Debut

Mike Doherty of the Toronto Eye reviewed ’s debut ‘Boy in da Corner’, giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Doherty writes, “Rascal claims he’s from ‘the PlayStation generation,’ and you can hear it in his tinny, haunting keyboard riffs set off by jittery beats. Listening to his debut, ‘Boy in da Corner’, is like immersing yourself in a futuristic first-person shooter: the frayed nerves, the accelerated pulse, the endorphin rush. This MC doesn’t so much have a flow as a torrent, belting out disjointed phrases like ’s paranoid cousin.”
