Dr. Dre & Xzibit Getting Sued For X Track
Michael Lowe has filed suit against Dr. Dre and Xzibit claiming the pair ripped off his beat for their track ‘X’. Lowe is seeking $1 million in damages in the suit, which also names Roots producer Scott Storch, Loud Records and Columbia Records. The suit alleges that Storch invited Lowe to a Philly studio to audition some of his beats. Lowe ended up playing what he called ‘West Coast (Dre Beat),’ inspired by Dre’s sound. Eight months later, Lowe heard ‘X’ and filed suit.
