Dr. Dre’s Hollywood Push Won’t Be About Hip Hop

Nancy Mills of the New York Daily News spoke with Dr. Dre about his vision as a movie producer following the release of ‘The Wash’. Dre doesn’t intend to make just movies about the ‘hood saying, “I think most people that are involved in hip hop want to get into the movie business to make movies about hip hop or their neighborhood. I have a broader picture of what I want to do. I want to create movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’ or ‘Snatch,’ something really creative that steps out of what I do.”
