Eminem Wants To Represent Cutting Edge Of Urban Music
‘8 Mile’ established Eminem as “the good guy, an actor to be taken seriously,” Vibe music editor Eric Parker told Edna Gundersen of USA Today after ‘Lose Yourself’ won an Oscar on Sunday. “He was no longer thumbing his nose at authority but became acceptable. This is a title he doesn’t want. He’s put himself in a position where he’s able to sell records to a giant cross section, but what he wants to represent is the cutting edge of urban music.” Read more.
