Eminem’s ‘8 Mile’ Lumped Into Drama Category

Jeannette Walls of MSNBC reports that the Hollywood Press Association recently ruled that Eminem’s first film, ‘8 Mile,’ will be judged in the category of ‘Drama’ rather than ‘Comedy/Musical’ for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. Tom O’Neil of Goldderby.com said, “There’s enough music in it that it definitely could have been considered a musical. If he had been nominated in that category, he’d practically be a shoo-in.” Instead, he’s up against top notch actors and appears unlikely to be winning any awards.
