Eve Demands Respect And Making Good Songs Got It
UniverCity caught up with Eve who talked about how she, as a woman, has established herself in the rap world. “In this business you have to demand respect,” she said. “If you respect yourself people have to respect you, and when I walk into a room I demand respect. Sure it was hard for me when I first got into the business—people were always asking, ‘can she write? Can she make a hit album?’ It took a lot of me making good songs to earn people’s respect, and I think most of the respect I’ve earned came from working in the studio and working those same hard hour as the guys.” The full story at univercity.com has since been removed.
