Jenice M. Armstrong of the Philadelphia Daily News says Eve has shifted from “the pitbull in a skirt” to a glamorous, sexy pinup style, which has boosted her public image. “She is one of the most stylish women in music right now. She has amazing crossover appeal,” said Jorge Ramos, fashion director for Teen People magazine. “She had a very tough image when she first came out. She was the female version of some of the hard gansta rappers. She had the pawprints on her chest. Everything was hard. But now, she’s got this feminine rough, sexy thing going on. She had the blond hair. Then it was red. Now it’s long and flowing. She has taken a lot of style risks and it has paid off.”
