Fans Love Overplayed Singles But Deflate Otherwise

Maisy Fernandez of the Yakima Herald-Republic reviewed Friday’s KUBE Summer at Gorge on Friday. Fernandez writes, “The annual concert featured a much-trimmed-down lineup compared with past years, allowing more stage time for each of the performers to do his thing — which was something of a double-edged sword with this type of audience. Fans responded like Pavlovian-trained dogs to overplayed radio singles, with enthusiastic cheers and waving arms, but deflated like leaky tires when a performer strayed from the standard airwaves fare.”
