Gail Gotti On West Coast Hip Hop
Westcoast Aftershock sat down with Gail Gotti of Death Row Records to discuss her upcoming album, projects, the state of the west coast and more. Gail released a solo song titled ‘Gangstress (How I Roll)’ on Death Row’s Dysfunktional Family Soundtrack last year. Asked about her thoughts on the state of west coast hip hop, she responded, “I love west coast hip hop. But I feel like if your not already a established west coast artist it’s harder to make it, to get people to respect you are even give you a chance. All of the music that you hear coming from the west coast are the same people that we’ve been hearing since the 90’s. And it’s nothing wrong with that but new is always good too.”
