Gucci Mane Is Soulja Boy’s Hero
Soulja Boy sat down with Billboard to discuss his new 2008 album 'iSouljaBoyTellem', his influences, the Soulja Boy cartoon, and why Gucci Mane is his hero. "You could call him my mentor," Soulja Boy said of Gucci Mane. "Over the summer while I was recording the album, he was basically just telling me what to do, giving me pointers on how I can make my flow and my delivery better. He's said it wasn't a problem with my voice or nothin' like that, it's just my delivery, my flow, and my overall lyrics. So like this album, I think I perfected it on this one."
