Hip Hop Offers Way For Cuban Youth To Speak Out

Marc Ramirez of the Philadelphia Inquirer spoke with rappers in Cuba, including Carlos Infante who has used his lyrics to “talk about topics in our society that nobody wants to talk about” in the communist regime under Fidel Castro’s rule. Infante adds, “[Cubans] say, ‘You are with Castro or you are with Bush,’ but I am not with either Castro or Bush. And there are many people like me.”
