Okay, it’s time for another one of my reviews. This review is on the I-P one Concert in Los Angeles on Saturday January 24, headlining Ja Rule & Ashanti.
The first act that came out was Xzibit. He did 7 songs in total and he was nothing but energy from beginning to end. I don’t think there was one person in the crowd not singin along with him.
After Xzibit came Ashanti. She came out looking very lovely and got alot of cheers but by the second song, her flat singing and stale dance moves of touching herself started to get annoying. She recieved afew boos but she finished her set gracefully, not letting the boos affect her.
Ludacris was up next. I don’t even need to tell you guys about his performance. It was nothing but pure energy, but the one thing that was a bit of a turn off was that he had TOO MANY things going on at once! Other than that, his set was the best so far.
Finally, it was Ja Rule’s turn. As soon as he stepped on stage, people started to boo. I personally thought it was foul to boo him so quickly, however, my mind quickly changed. He started the set with ‘clap back’ but you could barely hear what he was saying over the boos and the people yelling G G G G-Unit. I felt symphathy for him. I saw his face and it looked like he was ready to kill himself. But then he told the DJ to cut the music off and he pretty much cussed the audiance out and went running off stage like a little kid. I don’t blame him for being upset, it’s certainly understandable but the way he went about it was, how should I put this? ***** made? lol!
Since Ja Rule cut his set so short, they brought Xhibit back out. He made things a bit worse for Ja Rule. He was cracking jokes on him throughout the rest of the show and the crowd loved it. I guess you could call Xzibit the savior of this concert.
Overall, the concert wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. I would give it a 2.5 out of 5.
