Ice Cube And Samuel L. Jackson Make Cinema History
The New York Daily News reports that with ‘Are We There Yet?’ and ‘Coach Carter’ running one-two atop the list of biggest movie box-office earners last weekend, it’s believed to be the first time that movies starring black actors — Ice Cube and Samuel L. Jackson respectively, have occupied the top two slots, according to industry analysts. “I can’t find another example of when we had two movies with black actors on top,” said Brandon Gray of Box Office Mojo.
