Bishop Lamont On Dre. Dre's 'Detox' & His Own 'The Reformation' LP
Skee.TV caught up with Bishop Lamont in studio recording the Dr. Dre produced track 'Grow Up', featured on his debut Aftermath album, 'The Reformation'. They talked about Dr. Dre's new $350 headphones 'Beats by Dre' out July 25th in conjunction with Monster, and the status of Dre's album 'Detox'. "It's almost finished, about 60-70% done," Bishop said of Dre's long awaited LP. "He's a perfectionist man. Return of the Jedi. It's the third installment, so it's gotta be big."
As for the feel of his own disc, Bishop said, "It's just right on time. It's just what needs to be heard. It's just about where you are in your life. Some people are gonna be offended by it, some people are gonna be like 'Right on, right on.' But either way it's the truth, so take it or leave it." Watch an interview and sample of the song below.

Jay-Z Open To Collaborating With Oasis After Feud
After hearing Noel Gallagher had said he "liked" Jay-Z, despite criticizing over his Glastonbury headlining gig, MTV Base spoke with the rapper about the apparent feud. "I haven't spoken to him," Jay-Z said. "I heard he was reaching out, but I haven't spoken to him." Though Jigga dissed Oasis at the event, he said he'd be open to working with the veteran British rock group. "Anyone. Oasis as well – it doesn't matter to me," he said. "I don't bear any grudge, it's all good. I just believe in good music and bad music, I've always said that. You look at any interview from the beginning of time, I've always stated that I don't believe in the lines and classifications that people put music in so they can easily define it."

Travis McCoy Of Gym Class Heroes Arrested After Reacting To Racial Slur
After a Warped Tour audience member in Maryland Heights, Missouri allegedly called Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy a "fu**ing ignorant ni**er", Travis broke his microphone beating the man on Tuesday (July 1). McCoy was arrested and charged with third-degree assault for the incident. Police spokesman Sgt. Joseph Eagan told TMZ, "There was an incident last evening with a band called Gym Class Heroes, and that we did make an arrest. There was an altercation between one of the artists and one of the patrons, and the person arrested was booked on assault, posted bond and was released." Though the attack was racially motivated according to Eagan, he said the alleged victim "and the artist are of the same race."
A statement from the alternative hip hop group's manager Bob McLynn released earlier today stated: "Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation. When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out.
"This whole incident is unfortunate. Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It's amazing that in 2008, there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things. Travis is deeply upset that this happened, and has expressed his apologies to the band's fans that were at the show, [tour organizer] Kevin Lyman, and the Vans Warped Tour. GCH is putting this behind them and looks forward to seeing everyone on the rest of the tour."

Jay-Z Interviewed Backstage At Glastonbury 2008
Tim Westwood of 1Xtra interviewed Jay-Z backstage at Glastonbury 2008 over the weekend, where they spoke about the controversy surrounding Jay headlining the music festival. "Sometimes remarks are made out of ignorance," Jay said of Oasis singer Noel Gallagher's complaints. "If Noel Gallagher had seen me performed and he said that, I'd understand. That's a personal opinion, and I can't have no bearing on how he feels. It's just personal taste. But he's never seen me perform, I'm sure, or else he wouldn't say that. We'll see what happens after tonight though." He added, "For the most part, everybody's ready. I thought it would be the old guard vs. the new guard. But it's really not like that. Right now, every single person I've seen has been very excited about the show." Watch the interview below the fold.
