Interscope Spokesman Says Nobody’s Happy About Leak
MTV News spoke with a spokesperson for Interscope records after ‘The Eminem Show’ began appearing online over the weekend. The spokesperson said, “No one’s happy about it, but it’s very hard to prevent. You do everything you can to stop it from happening and then you get scooped. But we got it down to three weeks, which is not as bad as the industry standard at this point.” The likely target of the leak appears to be one of the manufacturing plants that was mass producing the CD before its June 4th release. Surprisingly the spokesperson didn’t mention Interscope’s leaking of looped versions of the singles designed to hinder swapping of the songs. Read more.
