J5 Makes A Bolder Statement With ‘Power In Numbers’

Kevin Murphy of The Arizona Republic reviewed the new album giving it four stars. Murphy says after their ‘Quality Control’ debut, “With ‘Power in Numbers’, the Los Angeles-based outfit makes an even bolder statement. Playful anthems are still the draw, but J5 shows an increased awareness of its surroundings. This is responsible rap. It’s a path parallel to what De La Soul traveled – from the comical debut ‘3 Feet High and Rising’ to the socially aware ‘Stakes is High’.”
