Ja Rule Changes His Mind About Rap Retirement

tells The Source magazine that he’s changed his mind about retiring after releasing his latest album ‘Last Temptation’. Ja’s explanation? “I don’t think I wanna retire no more. Quincy Jones said something that made me think. He said- Tupac died at 25. If I had died at 25, I would have been a musician who didn’t get a chance to blossom.” He added, “If Malcolm X died at 25, he would have been a street hustler named Detroit Red. If MLK died at 25, he would have just been a preacher who never got to the Martin Lurther King Jr. that we know… That made me think I could die tomorrow, and that right there will stop my legacy and my life; People would never get a chance to know what I could have grown to be.”
