Ken Capobianco of the Boston Globe chatted with Ja Rule and asked him what prompted him to soften his tone since his gangsta inspired ‘Venni Vetti Vecci’ debut. Ja Rule explained, “You grow up, you know? The first record I was really angry. I came from the streets and I wanted things to change. So it was really aggressive and it reflected where I was at. But success helped me understand life more. I’m not all that angry and I have another side to my life now.”
