Ja Rule’s Double Dip Starts Out Weak
Us Weekly caught up with Ja Rule to talk about his new movie ‘Half Past Dead’ and his new album ‘The Last Temptation’. On the latter subject, he says, “It has its political issues. I have friends help out: Bobby Brown, Mary J. Blige, Ashanti. It comes out four days after the movie. Aren’t I clever? The double dipper!” The movie brought in $8.2 million over the weekend, good enough for 5th place at the box office, but perhaps a disappointment when compared to DMX’s similar effort with Steven Seagal — ‘Exit Wounds’, which hauled in $18.5 million.
