Jay-Z, Diddy Donate $1 Million Each To Katrina Victims

The New York Daily News reports Jay-Z and fellow rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs announced on Thursday that they will donate $1 million each to the Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Katrina – and they hope to spark other gifts, particularly from fellow blacks. “This is our community,” Jay said. “When I turn on CNN, I see a lot of black people on the streets. I know it’s other people, too, but those projects have been hit hard.”
