Kanye West Has A History Slighting Country Artists
CMT Insider put together a collection of slights Kanye West has made against country music in wake of the rapper’s interruption of Taylor Swift at last weekend during her Best Female Video acceptance speech. Kanye also complained bitterly after Gretchen Wilson edged him out for breakthrough artist at the AMAs and Vince Gill felt slighted after Kanye edged him for album of the year at the 2008 Grammy awards, complimenting fellow nominee Amy Winehouse but not him and two others. Vince later had some fun with West after winning best country album, presented by Ringo Starr. Watch the segment below.
