Kanye West Wins Best New Artist At TRL Awards
Kanye West won the Best New Artist award on Monday’s TRL Awards on MTV. West said upon accepting the fan-voted honor: “I want to thank — I want to definitely thank God. I want to thank my mother, my father. [Cheers and applause] I want to thank G and Hip. Those are some of the best managers in the world, Don C, John, Al, I want to thank Maroon 5 for not being able to be here today so I could win this award. [Cheers and applause] And all the fans. Thank y’all, thank you.”
