Mike Osegueda of The Fresno Bee caught up with San Diego rapper Lil Rob, who has managed to sell 150,000 copies of his first two albums, without radio play, and while working in a San Diego warehouse during the daytime. Asked how he built the fan base, Lil Rob said, “By just being myself and being like everybody else.” As for why he don’t get radio play, Lil Rob said, “I don’t think they’re going to be used to it yet. They’re not ready for it. It is a little different, but sometimes different is good.”
