Little Sign of Rap In The Charts, R&B Dominates

Weak rap sales continued in the album charts this week as the top 30 only included two acts, Krazie Bone’s debut Thug On Da Line cleared 53,122 for the week while ’s Devils Night sold 52,397, dropping 14% for the week in sales.

Aaliyah took the #1 spot after her tragic death in the Bahamas August 25, while Mary J. Blige’s new album, No More Drama, was close behind. Aaliyah had 337,073 sales for the week while Blige had 324,936.
