Ludacris And Kanye Cleared In Copyright Suit

A Manhattan jury yesterday found that Ludacris and Kanye West aren’t copycats, denying the claims of a group of New Jersey rappers who said he ripped off their lyrics and put them in his hit single ‘Stand Up’. “I hope the plaintiffs enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame,” Ludacris said after the verdict in Manhattan Federal Court. “This whole experience is proof to me of why I will always fight for what I believe in. I won’t let a person ruin my reputation, especially because I thrive on creating original compositions.”
