Ludacris Proud Of Record Sales

Ken Capobianco of the Boston Globe spoke with Ludacris about the wealth he’s created since moving from struggling DJ to one of hip hop’s leading rappers. “I can’t say that I don’t look at record sales because I do,” he said with a hint of pride. “You want to be respected artistically, but you also want to be heard, and I want to sell as many records as I can before I’m through. Always taking it higher, never resting on what you’ve done and always looking at how to make the next song hotter than the next. Ask any MC, that’s how you sell records.”
