Luther Campbell Calls Puffy & Jay-Z ‘Carpetbaggers’

Miami native Luther Campbell compares his fellow rap artists and entrepreneurs to carpetbaggers, coming to strip the Miami area of its resources. “I see Puffy and Jay-Z and Master P and The Source and Billboard come here and don’t leave something, just come here to take,” Campbell tells the Miami Herald. “They take our sunshine and put it on video, run on our streets in fast cars, but they don’t leave nothing.”
