Lux Life Not A Contradiction For Wyclef
Wyclef Jean dismisses any contradiction between his political messages, his philanthropic work for an impoverished Haiti, his protests against public education cuts and his expensive lifestyle, including his pricey cars. Like the money he has made from his music, he uses them as aspirational tools, he tells The New York Daily News. “Whenever I perform, if I see kids sitting there, I always say, ‘Who would have thought that a kid who worked at Burger King and washed dishes would end up this way?’ It gives them the feeling that they can do it too.”
