Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed ’s new album ‘Kingdom Come’, remarking that “there’s a familiarity to the music that accompanies his raps, showing that Jay isn’t growing in those areas so much as maintaining his turf.” Farber added, “Luckily, Jay continues to spit out raps with a seemingly effortless density. He can flow faster than , bob and weave through his cadences more nimbly than a young , and connect ideas and contexts better than any emcee alive.
